Found a Bug in My Soup




Ecch! I hate bugs.





What should I do? Throw out the soup? Scoop out the bug; throw out the bug; eat the soup? Start totally over? Go to a fast-food and eat out? Starve?



This happened to me at a restaurant. Only the bug was in my salad. I called the waitress over. She flipped the bug out of the salad. Squished the bug on the floor. Told me the salad was okay now. Left.



I got up and left the restaurant and didn't pay for my meal!!!!!!!

Man Fired For Wearing Packer's Tie

How pathetic can you get! Just because your boss is a Bear's fan doesn't mean he can discriminate against you because you cheer for an opposing team. I would think that differences of opinion can and should exist in the workplace as long as they don't get out of hand and create an adverse working environment. It does seem idiotic to fire

I'm referring to an event that happened on Monday, Jan 24, when John Stone was fired for wearing a Packer's tie to work.

Questions:
1) Should firings occur because of sports rivalry?
2) Should firings occur because of political rivalry?

While religion isn't usually brought into the workplace politics and sports are. I would think your personal views shouldn't have a bearing on your job; however, they often do.

"I HAVE A DREAM"

I'm tired of the rhetoric and diatribes and hatred between parties of people.

On August 28, 1963, Dr. King uttered those words and it seems they are as true today as they were then. From his
speech comes, "When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the 'unalienable Rights' of 'Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.'"

It seems to me today that our unalienable rights and pursuit has been trampled on, gotten lost, and been replaced by greed and hatred between parties/groups of people. There are times when it feels like w
e cannot get along. This may not be entirely true; however, the 24-hr newscasts and "talking heads" surely portray it that way. It surely seems like we are sliding backwards.

We use cross hairs on districts to show who we should get rid off. It doesn't matter who started it (chicken or egg--who came first); it matters that we "stop it now". I do not want a target pinned on my back or on the area in which I live.

I have a dream ...

That all mankind get along. I want that dream to be a reality now. want all of us to be able to pursu
e our happiness regardless of the rhetoric.

What am I doing to stop the sliding? I'm changing my attitude. I'm trying to channel good thoughts. I'm posting my feelings. I'm teaching
others. I'm not burying my head in the sand and hoping it will go away. I'm talking. I'm thinking. I'm working. I'm standing with others that feel as I do.

I'm tired of hearing about it.

I'm sorry I stayed for the after dinner conversation last night. It was all about the Tucson shooting of Rep. Giffords. I'm tired of hearing about it. All we did was rehash the event and didn't solve anything. Along the way we yelled at each other because we have opposing viewpoints.

Opposing viewpoints:

He said: The dude should be hung at noon in a public square within 1 week of the trial.
I said: I don't believe in public ridicule but it's all right to be hung.
He said: Do you believe in capital punishment?
I said: Absolutely! (He we do agree on somethings)
She joined in and said: Dude needs to be incarcerated in a mental health facility until healed.
We ponced on that and yelled: No Way Should We Pay For That ...(expletives deleted...fill in your own angry words...)...
All were red-in-the-face!

At that point:

It was time to leave because the conversation had deteriorated to the point where things would be said that would be ugly, mean, and angry.

Goodbye. Maybe I'll revisit this subject later on.
