How pathetic can you get! Just because your boss is a Bear's fan doesn't mean he can discriminate against you because you cheer for an opposing team. I would think that differences of opinion can and should exist in the workplace as long as they don't get out of hand and create an adverse working environment. It does seem idiotic to fireI'm referring to an event that happened on Monday, Jan 24, when John Stone was fired for wearing a Packer's tie to work.
Questions:
1) Should firings occur because of sports rivalry?
2) Should firings occur because of political rivalry?
While religion isn't usually brought into the workplace politics and sports are. I would think your personal views shouldn't have a bearing on your job; however, they often do.
I definitely agree with you abouthow religion is not brought up in the workplace that's a great point!
